Want to have something different from conventional lectures, discussions and exhibitions!!!! Then we have a place named X-Zone for you.

 

The X-Zone is impromptu, on the spot, unplanned, that’s why The X-Zone is called as “un-conventional”, that’s why it is fun swapping stories and experiences. If one does the little jobs well, big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

 

Junoon

Muzic Mania

Bass, stereo, audiophile – these are the words that only a true music enthusiast can understand. Keep this in mind when you enter the Junoon – the event where you get to display your originality – the gizmo way.

Song(s) will be given to every contestant on the spot and in the stipulated time period it is to be manipulated using software(s) and to be played.

 

Rules:

  • It is a solo event.
  • 5 tracks will be provided on the spot.
  • Each song must be remixed with a different theme.
  • Max time allowed for the composition is 120 min.
  • Max time allocated for performance is 5 mins and min is 3 mins.
  • The time should be evenly divided into 5 parts, each for the corresponding remixed song, whatever is the duration of the final track.
  • Bring your own equipment(Mixers, synths, Microphones, Headphones) and audio editing software. Kudos to the contestant who implements the meaning of OPEN SOURCE.

Rules:

  • Team will comprise of maximum 5 members.
  • Winners will be decided on the basis of time consumed and accuracy.
  • No personal tools are allowed.

Carmageddon

Drag Racing

Racing: Engine/motor propelled remote controlled cars shall compete for a 30m drag race.

 

Rules:

  • The race is a 30 m drag.
  • The vehicle may be propelled by an engine ( max 4.5 cc ) or electric motor ( voltage in the circuit should not exceed 24 V )
  • There must be a steering mechanism.
  • The vehicle must fit into a box of 35 cmX30 cmX70 cm at all times during the race.
  • No external means or nitro shall be used to boost the performance.
  • There must be a casing for the vehicle.
  • A dual frequency radio set is required.
  • Team consists of 2 to 4 team members.
  • No lego parts shall be used
  • Any one not complying with the above said shall be disqualified
